About the Programme

At KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions we offer various undergraduate roles to get your career off on the right foot.  During your internship you’ll have a chance to explore different placements within our company ranging from consulting, software development, application building, operations teams and project management. The rotation within the first months will allow you to get a clearer picture on which area and technology you would like to focus on working with. The internship will get you exposure and hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies and will allow you to gain industry-recognized Certifications.

As Trainee Programmer, you will:

• Help create high quality design and sustainable client solutions
• Implement technical solutions for customer requirements
• Analyse and resolve issues within the applications
• Participate in development, integrations and product support
• Work in an Agile approach depending on the business requirements
• Unit test code

Skills & Experience Required:

• Software engineering, computing or an ICT (or similar) Students in their first/second year of studies
• Strong knowledge of a programming language – preferably C# or Java
• Knowledge of Oriented Programming Concepts
• Good understanding of Database fundamentals
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Interested in becoming accredited in Microsoft Solutions

Nice to have:

• Experience working within the IT field as a Developer, Business Analyst, or Consultant
• Any experience within IT field who are willing to cross train in the Microsoft technologies
• Data Structures & Algorithm Design fundamentals
• Operating System & Network fundamentals
• Experience working with additional technologies will be considered a plus
• Understanding of cloud computing fundamentals
