Role Overview
KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions is looking for an experienced Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (D365FO) Technical Architect to play a crucial role within the F&O Practice, contributing to and supporting of the technical build and design of high-quality F&O solutions and the supporting infrastructure for our clients.
The role consists of both technical and analytical tasks; covering requirements clarifications, technical analysis and design, development, support, and client interaction to deliver Dynamics F&O based solutions. You will work closely with both the functional team, offshore colleagues, and the clients of KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions, demonstrating a hands-on approach combined with an effective balance between soft skills and a broad range of technical skills.

Project Responsibilities
- Contribute to the technical delivery of high-quality business solutions to our client’s using knowledge of Dynamics F&O technical capabilities and associated infrastructure, working closely with client and delivery team
- Help organise, contribute to and document workshops, meetings and requirements sessions with client representatives, project stakeholders and delivery team(s)
- Interact effectively with other members of the delivery team to ensure that the solution meets client’s requirements
- Participate in development, integrations, product support, and platform updates
- Provide on-site support as required by company or client
- The creation of high quality and sustainable client solutions and project technical documentation including support for testing activities
- Deliver all consultancy and development work as per Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) standards, ensuring that all software applications are implemented successfully per the project plan: on time and on budget
- Delivery of end-user training to clients and colleagues where applicable
- Meet and exceed customer expectations of business knowledge, skills, and behaviour
- Identify business/project risks and mitigate or communicate as necessary
- Communicate progress updates to relevant parties
- Perform code reviews
- Work on own initiative and with minimal support
- Always represent KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions in a professional and positive manner
Practice Responsibilities
- Be an active member of technical and design working groups within the practice
- Contribute to pre-sales activities as required including building demo and proof of concept solutions for various client presentations
- Contribute to the creation of KPMG Dynamics 365 solutions and industry templates
- Support practice development activities such as defining and configuring industry specific solutions
- Promotes the Values of our company
- Ensure timely completion of internal processes and mandatory trainings
- Help and mentor developers
- Assisting in Technical Interviews.
- Adhere to best practice and KPMG technical standards during all development
- Conducting technical interviews
- Performance manage and/or mentor junior members of the team
- Willing to travel abroad when required
- To carry out additional duties as may occur from time to time as instructed and agreed by the Practice management team
- Within your role, you have the responsibility of protecting all information that is shared with you in the course of your association with KPMG (including information provided by clients) in line with the requirements of the Information Security Policy as stated within your contractual agreement. Policies are subject to regular review and change and hence the employee is obliged to remain updated accordingly.
Experience and Background
- A relevant degree within a computational discipline
- Minimum 8+ years’ experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O
- Deep and broad knowledge of technical capabilities of Dynamics 365, including appropriate certification. Must be able to show good knowledge of practices for Dynamics 365
- A Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Core Certification together with a Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Technical Certification and a Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Functional Certification would be considered as an asset
- Understanding of Azure and cloud technologies
- Broad understanding of software development lifecycle, development management, release management, data migrations, cut-over planning, and early live support
- A good understanding of best practices including code management (i.e. source control), unit testing methodologies and build processes
- Experience in gathering and documenting technical requirements
- Experience with D365FO interfacing and integration
- Data migration (Data entities) experience in-line with D365FO data handling processes
- Demonstrable knowledge of capabilities of the supporting software in the Microsoft stack (certification is a positive), including:
- Azure SQL / SQL Server / Common Data Services (CDS)
- Power Platform
- Azure services including integration and infrastructure services.
- Dynamics 365 products such as Customer Engagement Plan and HR
- Azure DevOps
- Lifecycle Services
- Knowledge of best practices for working with offshore teams and on multi-national projects
- Experience of Agile Methodology
- Proven experience in Data modelling, data governance, data quality management and related business processes
- Ability to manage and optimize team performance
- Expertise in performance evaluation and career improvement strategies

- Ability to lead meetings and present to the C-Suite stakeholders
