Role Overview
KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions are looking for an experienced Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (D365FO) Lead Consultant with knowledge in all phases of large-scale enterprise D365FO projects with a hands-on approach and proven experience in end-to-end implementations, along with interfacing and integration of Dynamics products. Consultancy experience is a must as this role will entail continuous interaction with clients, managing onshore consultants while also working with both onshore and offshore development teams. This role will also require a level of presales activities focused around D365FO and the wider Microsoft platform. You will also contribute to proposal development and provide input in business development while mentoring more junior staff.
This role is therefore key to KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions’ customer delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations solutions. It is a dynamic and exciting opportunity to join a rapidly developing business area within an established and market-leading global firm.
Main Responsibilities
Project Responsibilities
- Leading the Finance, SCM and/or Retail workstreams of full end-to-end D365 implementations through all phases of the project lifecycle
- Lead the solution on a work stream level, make design decisions and create solution documentation
- Responsible for leading and managing a team comprising of a group of talented consultants each holding different levels of expertise
- Provide on-site support as required by company or client
- Have very good understanding of D365FO functional capabilities
- Involvement with functional interfaces and Integrations with D365FO
- Work with onsite engagement team & client team to gather requirements, determine expectations & finalize deliverables
- Gather and document functional requirements and complete gap/fit analysis
- Ensure quality project delivery of deliverables produced and demonstrate experience in system and functional testing
- Demonstrate awareness of scope (creep) and use of change control
- Deliver end-user training to clients and colleagues
- Demonstrate ability around upselling and understanding of additional company capabilities
- Responding to RFPs and RFQs
- Demonstrate excellent foundational consulting skills, including analytical know-how, written & verbal communication, team participation & presentation skills
- Solves and advises on complex problems with creative solutions
- Meet and exceed customer expectations from business knowledge, skills, and behaviour
- Ensure progress updates are communicated to relevant parties both formally and informally
Practice Responsibilities
- Awareness of product roadmap and the content of future releases of D365FO in the Finance, SCM, and/or Retail area and demonstrate changes/additions to team members
- Identify practice development activities and strong involvement in the creation and delivery of these to fellow colleagues
- Involvement in further development of Finance and/or SCM and/or Retail capabilities in D365FO product team
- Promotes the Values of our company
- Manage performance and mentor junior members of the team
- Willing to travel abroad when required
- Always represent KPMG in a professional and positive manner
- Ensure timely completion of internal processes and mandatory training
- Carry out additional duties as may occur from time to time as instructed and agreed by Directors

Experience and Background
- Minimum 9 years of relevant experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O
- Experience in leading a team of minimum of 4 members
- Experience of large-scale ERP implementations
- Experience of thinking clearly and calmly under pressure with sound judgement and decision-making abilities
- Experience of constantly assessing and incorporating new technologies and software into their skillset
- Experience managing others and leading more junior consultants to a successful outcome
- Pre-sales experience
- Business process mapping, modelling, and documentation knowledge
Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in Business & IT or similar
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to lead meetings and workshop, and confidently present to the C-Suite
- Outstanding understanding of accounting processes, principles, functionality & systems
- For Finance roles: Solid Finance background (ACA/ACCA/CIMA part qualified or qualified is desirable but not essential)
- For SCM roles: Good experience in manufacturing or advanced warehousing, and project cost accounting
- Microsoft Dynamics Finance and/or SCM and/or Retail certification, ideally most current version
- Excellent knowledge of the following areas of an implementation project life cycle:
- Requirements analysis and documentation
- Business process mapping and modelling
- Development testing and UAT
- Data migration
- Cut-over activities
- Go-live support
- Must be able to show excellent knowledge of best practices for D365FO
- Strong MS Office skills (primarily Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Visio is a plus)
- Strong understanding of Data Migration
- Knowledge of Power Platform capabilities and Business Intelligence (BI)
- LCS and Azure DevOps knowledge
- Understanding of integration tools and technologies
- Works independently as well as in a team environment
- Client centric approach with emphasis on client satisfaction
- Knowledge of best practices for working with offshore teams and on multi-national projects
- Excellent presentation and demonstration skills
