Role Overview

The Demand Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the Service Delivery Centres are aligned with client needs and organizational objectives by effectively managing and forecasting demand for services. This position involves analyzing trends, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring the earliest possible demand signals to the DCs to secure availability of resources and capabilities to meet current and future demands. The Demand lead will review the allocation of demand and the use of DCs, assessing for ‘work being done in the right place’ enabling the strategy of on, no, near and offshoring. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical and communication skills to balance capacity and demand effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand current and future service demands.
  • Collaborate with application owners to ensure the systems and tooling support the requirement of demand planning for the firm
  • Develop demand forecasts and models based on historical data, business trends, and client requirements.
  • Align demand forecasts with resource and capacity strategy for DCs
  • Act as the liaison between service delivery operations SME and Talent deployment leads, to gather insights on demand requirements and share reporting.
  • Highlight from demand analysis demand priorities and changes to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Partner with talent deployment leads, and Resource Managers in DCs to identify capacity and demand conflicts.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for demand management processes, tools, and governance.
  • Develop and manage a demand pipeline, prioritizing requests based on strategic importance and feasibility in collaboration with business leads.
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of demand management processes, making improvements as needed.
  • Use analytics to assess trends in service demand, capacity utilization, and resource availability.
  • Provide regular demand-related reports and insights to senior leadership, highlighting risks and recommendations.
  • Track and report on demand fulfillment metrics, ensuring alignment with SLAs and business goals.
  • Work with capacity planners and resource managers to address gaps between demand and available resources.
  • Identify potential risks in meeting demand and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure that demand forecasts are flexible enough to accommodate unexpected changes.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in demand management, service delivery, or related roles within an IT environment.
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and service management best practices is a strong advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in demand and capacity planning tools (e.g., CRM, Profinda, or similar).
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
