Role Overview
Reporting to the Lead HR Business Partner, the HR Operations Specialist role is to manage and deliver a comprehensive, efficient and effective HR service, supporting the entire employee lifecycle, whilst monitoring and improving current HR processes. Plays a pivotal role, providing guidance and support while continuously evolving the employee lifecycle to meet KPMG standard, regulations, and requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with both internal & external stakeholders.
- Design, implement, and improve company policies, to deliver the best service possible Act a point of contact and reference to HR processing.
- Identify improvements on the employee lifecycle processes and collaborate with team to implement necessary changes.
- Act as subject matter expert for identified business processes & activities within HR operations.
- Be a champion of KPMG’s culture, values, behaviours and IDSE (Inclusion, Diversity and Social Equality) agenda in all activities building understanding and confidence within the client group.
- Support an aggressive business growth agenda driven by the people growth strategy
- Work closely with the Talent Acquisition and Resourcing team by ensuring a smooth transition of the candidate into the onboarding process.
- Performs employee data management and analysis processes to ensure that data is secure and maintained consistent with company policies and privacy regulations.
- Optimise and implement tools to optimise HR operations and streamline core processes like onboarding, terminations and other that make up the employee lifecycle.
- Responsible for managing the HRIS lifecycle including the sourcing, integration, maintenance, upkeep of the company’s HRIS and payroll system, providing a point of contact for employees and line managers and proactively support the delivery of HR strategy, processes as well as managing complex and delicate HR Projects cross functionally.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align, fine tune HR system requirements and provide the appropriate learning.
- Determine, measure, track, maintain, analyse and present KPIs and other findings for various audiences.
- Measure, track, maintain and analyse HR analytics (such as GPS, attrition, exit interviews, people demographics, inclusion and diversity and other relevant data) to uncover findings and make value adding suggestions.
- Source, report and analyse any HR trends and metrics needed with a focus on improving work relationships and retention.
- Ensure data accuracy for the company to manage its people and have the ability to predict trends and transform HR strategies to measurable business outcomes while meeting its legislative, regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Assist with project based HR initiatives continuing in our drive towards continual improvement and becoming an employer of choice by improving employee experience.
- Responsible for the coordination of HR processes including but not limited to payroll activities, benefits programs and liaison with third party suppliers.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in HR Operations
- Experience with managing a team
- Solid working knowledge of Maltese employment law
- Experience with HRIS and related HR analytics
- Previous experience working in a regulated environment
- Demonstrable commercial acumen and understanding of the business
- Ability to work both autonomously, as well as collaboratively with the HR function
- Data orientated with proven experience of using data to influence client initiatives and actions
- Developed mind-set for continuous improvement and meeting or exceeding client expectations
