Job Description

Overview

The Senior L&D Advisor plays a pivotal role in supporting the smooth functioning of the Learning and Development (L&D) department. Working closely with colleagues in L&D, the chosen applicant is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality training programs and assisting the Lead Learning and Talent Business Partner in executing the department's strategic objectives. This role will focus on the delivery of our Discovery Academy, leading its operational running and ensuring the delivery of key programmes such as our Graduate Programme. 

Learning Business Partnering:

  • Collaborate with the Lead Learning and Talent Business Partner to develop and implement the L&D department's strategy.
  • Drive the growth of L&D offerings by exploring and implementing a data-driven and efficient structure for the department.
  • Run the day-to-day requirements of the Discovery Academy, supporting the internal communications, schedule and operation. 
  • Facilitate team meetings and ensure the effective execution of team deliverables, contributing to the smooth day-to-day operations of the L&D department.
  • Oversee the delivery of quality training programs across the Graduate Programme and Discovery Programmes.
  • Collect and analyze data on the effectiveness of existing training programs to provide valuable insights to leadership.
  • Develop and deliver new training programs that cater to the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to colleagues across the firm, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Stay updated on the latest learning and development trends, including KPMG UK learning implementations that can benefit colleagues in MBS.
  • Identify and implement innovative learning technologies to enhance the learning experience.

Learning function development:

  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure the seamless delivery of training programs and career pathways. 
  • Business Partner with different leaders in the business to understand and deliver their learning requirements. 
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to showcase the L&D department's activities and achievements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in learning and development or a relevant field.
  • Proven track record in developing and delivering impactful training programs.
  • Experience in facilitating engaging learning sessions.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others.
  • Strong understanding of current learning and development trends.
  • Experience in utilizing learning technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage pressure effectively.
