Role Overview 

As a Software Architect within the Custom Software Development capability, you will own architectural decision-making across .NET backend systems, Angular or React frontend applications, and Azure cloud services. You will act as a technical leader, shaping system design, driving engineering standards, ensuring solution quality, and mentoring developers. The role requires strong communication and collaboration across engineering teams, product owners, and clients.  

 Main Responsibilities 

• Lead architectural design and hands-on development for custom-built applications spanning .NET, Angular/React, and Azure cloud technologies.  
• Own end-to-end application architecture, ensuring scalability, security, maintainability, and performance.  
• Influence engineering practices, coding standards, and development processes across teams.  
• Participate in project ceremonies, design reviews, and technical governance forums.  
• Support your team in implementing new ideas and technical improvements.  
• Ensure architectural governance is maintained across delivery.  
• Mentor junior developers by sharing expertise in backend, frontend, cloud, and architectural best practices.  
• Coach team members to overcome technical impediments and grow professionally.  
• Support delegation of responsibilities, knowledge sharing, and building strong engineering culture.  
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, with a strong focus on Microsoft cloud and modern web engineering.  
• Drive improvements to internal processes, increasing efficiency in development, testing, and deployment workflows.  
• Participate in developing and maintaining programming guidelines and productivity enhancements.  

 

Skills & Experience 

• Strong expertise in .NET / .NET Core backend development.  
• Handson experience with frontend frameworks – preference will be given to Angular and React, but other technologies will be considered.  
• Solid understanding of Azure services, such as App Services, Azure Functions, API Management, Identity (AAD), Storage, Service Bus, and CI/CD pipelines. Azure is preferred but AWS will also be considered. 
• Experience in SQL and NoSQL (CosmosDB preferred) Databases.  
• Proficiency in architectural concepts such as domain driven design, microservices, cloud native patterns, and integration design.  
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams.  
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking capability.  
• Ability to guide and influence technical discussions and lead by example.  
• Experience working in consulting or customer facing environments is preferred  
• Exposure to DevOps practices (Azure DevOps CI/CD, automated testing).  
• Experience mentoring, coaching, and building high performing teams.
